If you’re like me, you find yourself falling out of bed (even though you thought you had a good night’s sleep!) and by the end of the day you feel like you’ve absolutely hit a brick wall!
Do little motivation and energy, a lack of focus and a foggy head sound familiar?
Well rest assured you are not alone!
Your mind is probably overloaded, and it simply needs to stop and rest!
For many of us, the build-up of too many things to do in one day is squeezing the energy out of us.
Today’s society admires ambition and hard work, pushing people to challenge themselves, but we really must ask ourselves, at what cost? How often do we continue to over-commit ourselves, all whilst neglecting our own personal needs?
It’s time to accept we are not superhero’s and that we need to stop pushing ourselves.
Remember, nothing changes, if nothing changes!
Here’s a few simple ways that you can make a small CHANGE for ‘a better and more energetic you’…
- Learn to say NO. Prioritise what’s important to you and only say YES to what you want, rather than what other people are expecting from you.
- Use your day effectively by structuring your time. Make realistic lists of ‘Things to do’ each day.
- Get some air by simply going for a short walk! Breaking up your day with a short walk is a sure mood booster. Take the time to be aware of everything around you, sights, sounds, colours and smells.
- Make regular time for YOU. Attending a weekly yoga or meditation class is ideal; idle time is so important.
